How to use the Plateroller
  1. Setup: Use the CNC touchscreen interface to input or select one of the 100 stored rolling programs.
  2. Position the Plate: Load the material into the machine and ensure proper alignment between the rollers.
  3. Operation: Select manual or automatic mode depending on your project needs, then initiate the rolling process. The hydraulic system will drive the rollers with high precision.
  4. Error Detection: Monitor the machine’s self-diagnosis system for any issues. The system will notify you of potential errors, helping to minimize downtime.
  5. Complete the Rolling Process: Upon completion, review the rolled material for consistency and accuracy, and adjust the settings if needed for future operations.

Working Principle:

  1. Loading the Plate: The metal plate is fed between the top roll and the bottom roll, which together serve to pinch the plate, holding it in place. The pinch pressure can be adjusted to suit the thickness and material of the plate.

  2. Initial Bending (Pre-Bending): The side rolls move up and down to create an initial bend on the edges of the plate. Pre-bending is critical to ensure the plate edges match the desired curvature, eliminating the flat portion that would otherwise result if the roll only performed a central bending operation.

  3. Bending (Rolling): After the pre-bend, the bottom roll moves up, while the side rolls move inward to create the bending force. The plate is rolled between the top roll and side rolls, and as it is pushed forward and backward, the plate gradually curves into a cylindrical or conical shape.

  4. Pinch and Repeat: As the plate is rolled between the four rolls, the side rolls apply lateral force to bend the material, while the top roll holds it in place. The process is repeated with controlled feed and adjustments to achieve the final shape.

  5. Final Shaping: Once the entire plate has passed through, the rolling process can be repeated to ensure consistent curvature. For thicker plates or tighter bends, several passes may be necessary, adjusting the positions of the rolls incrementally to increase the bend radius.
